Using this website
This is an information website. It has no enquiry forms, customer accounts, online bookings or online payments. We do not add advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Our hosting and security providers may process technical details such as an IP address, requested page and browser information to deliver and protect the site, based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
When you contact us
If you call, text or email, we receive the details you choose to share. These may include contact details, service address, booking preferences, dog-care instructions and emergency or vet contact details. Please share only what is needed and make sure an emergency contact knows you have supplied their details.
We use this information to answer enquiries and arrange and deliver agreed services (steps towards a contract or performance of a contract), keep required financial records (legal obligations), and deal with safety matters or complaints (our legitimate interests in responsible care and resolving problems).
Who can receive information?
Information may be handled by the email, telephone and secure record-keeping providers we use. Relevant details may be shared with a vet or emergency contact when needed for your dog’s care, or with authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal information or add you to marketing lists because you have enquired.
Technology providers may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, applicable adequacy arrangements or appropriate transfer safeguards must be used. Ask us for the arrangements relevant to your records.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful enquiries are normally deleted within 12 months of the last contact. Active care information is kept while needed for the service and normally reviewed for deletion within 12 months of it ending. Financial records are kept for the applicable tax-record period. Information needed for an unresolved complaint, incident or legal obligation may be retained longer, with access limited to those who need it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, or receive a portable copy. Where consent is used, it can be withdrawn. Some information may need to be retained to meet a legal obligation. Contact us using the details above; we normally respond within one month, subject to the applicable rules.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would also welcome the chance to resolve your concern directly.
